#1 Chart Update, Vinyl Pre-orders & November EU Tour

Before we get into the record and tour details, we have some massive news. Thanks to your incredible support, our new record Generating Station Complex went straight to #1 on the German Alternative Charts (DAC) upon release, and we are absolutely thrilled to say that after 5 weeks it is still holding strong at #1 this week! We couldn’t ask for a better reception, so a huge thank you to everyone who has been listening and spreading the word.

The Heavyweight Vinyl & CD Release

For those who have been asking for physical formats, we have been listening, and the wait is almost over! The CD and heavyweight vinyl formats are officially set to ship on October 30, 2026 via COP International Records.

The test pressings have been finalized, and the vinyl copies have just been pressed and are getting packed as we speak. They should be hitting independent record stores right in time for the tour.

If you can’t wait any longer, you can pre-order your copy right now directly on The Cassandra Complex Bandcamp page. Or if you plan on coming to the next shows in November we will have copies on the merch stand, and we will be happy to sign them for you after the show.

November 2026 European Tour Itinerary

In November, we will be crossing the channel for our next tour across Europe. We are pleased to announce that Swedish post-punk duo SJÖBLOM will be rejoining us as our very special guest on these dates, which are proudly supported by Orkus! Magazine.

See the sidebar for the dates and links to buy advance tickets. Don’t delay, because some of the shows are already selling fast!

We are currently also making plans for 2027. We have already confirmed the Dark City Festival in Spain next June; plus it looks like we might do some very special shows in Scandinavia in February, and maybe even a couple of shows in the USA in March…

The Cassandra Complex was formed in 1984 by Rodney Orpheus (vocals, synths, drums machine), Paul Dillon (electronics), and Andy Booth (guitar, keyboards). Their unique synthesis of post-punk, goth, EBM and industrial music, coupled with their exciting, powerful multimedia-driven live show and Rodney Orpheus’ commanding voice and stage presence proved irresistible to audiences, and since then they have toured extensively, filled club dance floors, and topped indie charts around the world. Songs such as Moscow Idaho, One Millionth Happy Customer, Penny Century, and Nightfall have been lauded as classics of the genre.

After a long hiatus they recently returned to the spotlight with the album The Plague, recorded during COVID lockdown, which spent 8 weeks at the top of the German Alternative Chart (DAC). In March 2024 they released Death & Sex, which similarly shot straight to #1 in the DAC for multiple weeks. Both albums are available from COP International Records on CD and on all streaming services.

Rodney Orpheus has also worked as an acclaimed producer, remixer, and music technologist, working with artists such as The Sisters of Mercy, Kraftwerk, Beborn Beton, The Future Sound of London, Die Krupps, Sinead O’Connor, Girls Under Glass, Faith & the Muse, Within Temptation, and many more.

VIP Tickets

There have been some questions lately about “VIP tickets” for shows, so just to make things clear:

WE DO NOT CHARGE FOR “MEET & GREET” OPPORTUNITIES, AND WE NEVER WILL

We have been touring for 40 years now , and after EVERY show, Rodney can always be found at the merchandising booth, talking with fans and signing autographs. He has done this at every single concert since the day we started, even at the recent show in Charleroi where he was so sick he had to go to hospital after the show – he still stayed long enough to sign autographs first.

Your ticket money enables us to keep making the music that we love, so our belief has always been that if you buy a ticket for our shows – ANY ticket – then the least we can do is say thank you. If you want to buy some merchandise and have that signed, then that’s even better, but you don’t have to. We will sign your ticket stubs, your CDs and records, whatever is important for you, for FREE.

Just because someone is rich enough to pay more for a ticket, that doesn’t mean that they deserve more. All of our fans are equally important to us, regardless of how much they pay. As long as you like The Cassandra Complex, that’s enough for us.

Mera Luna Cancellation

We are very sorry to announce that we have had to cancel our show at Mera Luna next month. Andy Booth, who plays guitar and keyboards, hurt his shoulder really badly in an accident and has been medically advised not to play for the next couple of months until it heals properly.

Our spot will be replaced by our good friends Girls Under Glass, featuring Volker Zacharias and Axel Ermes (who also play in The Cassandra Complex). So you people with tickets for Mera Luna will get to see half the band anyway 🙂

Good news though: we are already booking shows for 2024, and so far it looks like we will play in Germany, France, UK, and, for the first time in 20 years, America! Shows in more countries to be added. We can’t announce most of the dates yet, but we will definitely be headlining the Dark Skies Festival in Witten, Germany on March 25th – so don’t miss that one!
